Ep. 4 Seas the Day
We’ve reached the final episode of my Slimline Heaven mini series, and I wanted to end it with something moody, meaningful, and a little bit magical. Episode 4 is called “Seas the Day” — a serene, message-in-a-bottle kind of card, sealed with intention and symbolism.
This card features a calm ocean scene done entirely in soft grey tones, with a textured beach below and layered clouds above. Right in the middle? A glowing navy wax seal that reads “Seas the Day” in crisp white lettering, paired with a delicate anchor.The seal represents the sun, casting a mirrored “reflection” in the water below. And nestled in the sand? A tiny Tim Holtz glass bottle holding a real rolled-up message — a literal take on the classic message in a bottle.
🌫 Why This One’s Special:
There’s a stillness and story here that feels different from the other episodes — a quiet moment of reflection. The limited grey color palette allows the wax seal to take center stage, and the glass bottle adds an element of curiosity and interaction.
This card is about pausing, grounding, and choosing your moment — to create, to connect, to seas the day.
💡 Design Detail: Wax Seal as the Sun
The wax seal takes center stage — not just literally, but symbolically. Framing it in the middle of the card and adding a rippled “reflection” below creates a peaceful focal point. It draws the eye and anchors the mood of the entire card.
