Hello again. I hope all is well! I am entering All About Layering 4 and I am super exited to say that this course is fun!!
For day 5 my project inspiration is, again, a card created by Lydia Evans. I really like her design and decided to do something similar.

And, here is what I created:
First sep was choosing my supplies. For this design I used a stamp set called “Snapdragon” from the “Build a Flower” monthly series. For ink colors I chose what was recommend on the guide that came with the stamp set. In case you need it, these colors are Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Minty Mint, Just Green and Turquoise for the background and Jet Black for the sentiments. For stamping my images I used a MISTI stamping tool, but these images are really not that hard to line up. I was just afraid that I might need to double stamp them. But, as it turned out, I really didn’t have to that. After my images were done it was time to die cut them. Well, I ran into a little problem here. One of the images was stamped perfect, and I did not have any issues with aligning the coordinating die, but, I somehow messed up the image on the left. The way I stamped the stem did not align with the die, so I ended up cutting this image by hand instead of starting over. If using this stamp set, I would suggest die cutting the paper first and then aligning the stamp on your die cut. After my cuts were done, it was time to create a background/card base. This time I decided to do something different and go with a new card size. It is mini slimline card and the dimensions are 3 1/2 ” x 6″ . The card stock I used is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lbs. I simply did some super light ink blending using Altenew large blending brush. I then picked the word “thanks” from the “Dainty Swiss Dots” stamp set and simply used a stamping block to stamp it all over my card base. I then attached my die cuts to the base and embellished it with a jute twine bow. And the card was done!
Super fun and easy! What do you think?
Thank you for visiting me today and I will catch you again tomorrow with a day 2 All About Layering 4. Cheers!
