All About Layering 3

All About Layering 3

And moving along with another level of layering. This class is called “All About Layering 3” and today’s project inspiration is a card created by Lydia Evans. This card features Garden Hydrangea Stamp & Die Set by Altenew.

After I chose my supplies and cut the paper to size, it was time for fun! I used light grey ink to quickly create my background by simply stamping one of the images from the stamp set. I then created a layered hydrangea image. I used my mini MISTI in case I wanted or needed to double stamp, but, honesty, there was no need for this extra step. This image was so easy to line up and the stamps are of great quality that transfer ink so good on paper. I then die cut the image using the coordinating die that was included in my bundle. If you do not have a matching die, this image is super easy to cut with just a pair of scissors. Next I used my die cut image as a guide to see where to stamp the leaves. Once my leaves were layered, it was time for a sentiment. For this I used my MISTI, and I do recommend a stamp positioner of some sort if you wish your sentiment to look crisp. For the sentiment I used Jet Black ink and I believe I stamped it 4 times. I really wanted for that sentiment to be extra crisp and bold. I then put some foam tape on the back of my die cut, put some liquid glue for some extra security and glued it on the card. I added some gold embellishments for some interest and the card was done!

Truly simple and easy and quick! And what is most important it is impressive. This is a slimline card and it will most definitely put a “wow” on everyone’s face. I love this card and I hope you do too.

Thank you for visiting and I will see you here tomorrow. Cheers!
