“Merry & Bright”
There’s something truly magical about this month’s Spellbinders Wax Seal of the Month — it feels like the holidays, captured in one perfect impression.
The Merry & Bright design features a bold, elegant script set within a square frame — classic, festive, and beautifully timeless. And because wax seals are so close to my heart, I wanted to create something that truly lets it shine.
🎁 A 3D Box Card That Feels Like a Gift
For this month’s project, I decided to do something a little different — something dimensional and full of presence.
I built a 3D box card designed to look like a wrapped holiday present. The base is a rich red cardstock, layered with gold mirror panels and finished with thin gold strips that mimic ribbon corners.
And right in the middle — framed like a tiny treasure — sits the Merry & Bright wax seal.
It instantly becomes the star of the card.
The combination of red, gold, and that glossy wax finish brings the whole piece to life — festive, bold, and luxuriously simple.
🌲 Finishing Touches
To complete the look, I added evergreen trees from one of my favorite past Spellbinders releases. They add the perfect amount of depth and texture — a little forest wrapping around the gold panel, each tree dotted with warm gold gems that catch the light just right.
The result feels like you’re looking at a Christmas scene through a decorative frame — nostalgic and cozy, yet modern and bright.
The Merry & Bright design is one of those seals you can use in so many ways — from traditional cards and gift tags to modern mixed-media projects or even ornaments.
But this one, for me, was about letting the wax be the art itself.
Every month, I fall in love with the Wax Seal Club all over again, but this one feels extra special. There’s just something about that red-and-gold glow that instantly puts you in the holiday spirit.
