Hello dear friends and welcome to November release with Spellbinders.
So what is new this month?
Spellbinders release something so adorable and super cute, that is a Stitch Felt Collection and there is just so much you can do with these dies.
Another thing that is so special about this collection is that Spellbinders releases felt to go along with these dies, and this is not just any felt, this is Merino Wool felt! Now how cool is that?
These colors are so phenomenal and you can definitely see the difference between this kind of felt vs the polyester felt you can find at your local craft store.
Now, will that kind of felt work, ABSOLUTELY, but the problem is that you will not be able to see stitching holes in the polyester felt.
Now, this might not be a big deal to all of you who know how to sew or stitch, but for a person like me who has no sewing skills what so ever, is a huge deal.
When I received these cuties I was so excited and wanted to create so many of them, and the first thing that popped into my head were Christmas ornaments.
So, I bought myself a sewing machine and started sewing, for the very first time!
I have to admit that the first time sewing was quite funny and I almost thought of quitting, but, I just kept going and eventually I found a way to make it look somewhat presentable.
One thing that I am so happy about is that I made a little cat toy for my kitty.
I filled this toy with catnip and she went bananas over this toy. This made me so happy to see! She continues to play with this toy almost a week later, and this makes my heart so full of joy.
Overall, a super fun project and a wonderful new release from Spellbinders!
I am planning on creating extra ornaments for my Christmas tree as well as for friends and family, and of course cat toys for all my cat parents friends out there!
One thing that I also want to point out is that you can use these dies with paper as well. There are different designs that you can go with that are not Christmas related. And, do not limit yourself just there, use it with faux leather, denim.. create patches, decorate kids’ pillows and sweaters, make toys, scrapbook layouts, etc. Options are truly endless!
