Creative Ways to Use Your Paper Scraps

Creative Ways to Use Your Paper Scraps

Hello crafty friends. Happy Tuesday!

A few days ago I went through my crafty closet/storage and I found a full box of white scrap paper! I am talking about nice big pieces of 65 lbs. white paper that got leftover from the era when I used to make envelopes by hand. Luckily most of the pieces were the same size and I really did not want to waste it. As the old saying goes “out of sight – out of mind” I decided to take my pile of paper out and put on a visible spot in my craft room. This way I would get my creative juices flowing and will be “forced” to move it out of sight…

After I let it marinade for a few days, I came up with an idea! And this is purely out of necessity! I decided to make a note pad and there was only one item that I had to buy. And this is the list of items I used:

This little notepad came out quick, truly! First, I cut my paper to size. All pages were trimmed to 4×6 including the back and the front page. I have to just mention that for the cover page I used a piece of colored card stock and for the back I used a sturdy card box piece. This is completely optional. Once I had my paper cut, I arranged the little punchers into to the punch tool. If you decide to use the same measurements as me, this is how I arraigned my punchers: first set on 3 & 11; second set on 30 & 33 and the third set on 57 & 65; I then simply put the paper in making sure that the corner of the paper is aligned against the corner of the punch board and punch. I just kept repeating until I used all my paper. It took about 5 – 10 minutes. I then got the rings and simply slider the paper in through the holes. And that was it!

The entire project took about 20 minutes to complete. I was so pleased with how it turned out that I simply had to share it with you. But what made me even more excited is that I got rid of a pile of paper and found a good usage for it.

I hope this inspires you to create the same or similar things and please do not throw your scraps, find a creative ways to use them.

If you have another creative way of how to best use paper scraps, please drop me a line, I would like to find out about your creative ways, and do not forget to connect on social media! See you soon with another post.

Cheers!
