Episode One - Lavender & Olive
Hello dear friends, it has been a while since I used this platform and I am realizing that I truly missed it. I love writing and this is as old school as it can get at these crazy fast lifestyles we are living.
I have been mostly active on Instagram, but it is time to use this platform as well.
Today, I am exited to announce the beginning of the brand new series called “Unexpected Color Combinations”. The plan is to have 20 episodes and I will be posting one per week.
I am starting of with a much subtle duo – Lavender and Olive, something probably seen somewhere in passing, but please do not ignore this combo.
I do find this combination so beautiful and romantic. Perfect for Spring and Summer, weddings, birthdays, even baby showers.
I went with the floral theme, but geometrics could also look very good with these colors.
I had to go with a slimline card. Where there is free style, you know I will most always choose a slimline size.
The stamp and die set I used in this card is by Altenew called Flower Vine and I also used Altenew dye inks for stamping.
This card was very quick and easy to create, so, do not fear the size. Just because the card on a bigger size, it does not mean that you have to spend a lot of time designing it.
To top it all off, I had to turn to something I love the most, and those are wax seals. No matter how many times I create them, every time feels like it’s the first time, and this is probably because you never know what kind of results you can end up with. But, even if you do not like the final results, you can always remelt your wax and redo it, over and over again, until you are happy with the final look.
For the tag I used Distress Oxide Inks – Mowed Lawn and Milled Lavender; I also used Leaf Essentials die set by Altenew and the fabulous, 3D wax seal stamp is by 1928 Jewelry, a family own company from LA, California.
And that is all that I have for you today.
I suggest watching this in action.
Please head over to my YouTube channel. You can also access all video tutorial here, on my site, just click HERE.
On my YouTube channel you will find all the details on wax sealing, ink blending and stamping, of course. You will also find detail list of all the supplies used to create this project.
And, last but not least, thank you.
Thank you for being here, thank you for your support and if you have any questions feel free to let me know.
Cheers and happy crafting!

I am pleased to see you are going to be blogging again! I love to watch videos, but must admit I do like the old fashioned written word and still photos, as well. The first picture with all your supplies is beautiful. I also like to see a written account of the process to make a card or a tag. Your card is so very pretty!

Hi Linda, thank you so much for visiting the blog! You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear you say that. I honesty believed that people do not turn to blogs anymore so I keep it brief. I will be more than happy to write the process of making my projects. Yes, videos can be too fast and you end up not seeing anything. Thank you so much for your comment and your input. I truly appreciate it!
