Every month, Spellbinders Club Kits are my favorite source of inspiration. For September, the Glimmer of the Month (GOM), BetterPress Plate of the Month (BPOM), and 3D Embossing Folder of the Month (3EOM) all work together so beautifully — cozy autumn textures, bold copper foiling, and playful geometric shapes. Today I’m sharing three projects that celebrate all things cozy, spooky, and autumn-perfect.
✨ Glimmer of the Month – Cozy & Spooky Shaker
The wavy copper-foiled grid is already a showstopper, but paired with a shaker window it becomes downright magical. I layered the foiled panel over black cardstock, cut a square opening, and filled it with sequins and glitter for an eerie sparkle. The vellum sentiment strip (Stay Cozy & Spooky) keeps it chic while letting all the texture show through.
🍂 BetterPress of the Month – Hexagon Autumn Wreath
The patterned hexagons pressed so cleanly onto colored cardstock that I couldn’t resist cutting them into pieces and arranging them into a wreath. With mustard, olive, and soft blue tones set against a rich burgundy base, this design feels like a modern autumn quilt. The sentiment Sending Autumn Cheer ties the whole piece together.
🧵 3D Embossing Folder of the Month – Patchwork Quilt Cards
This embossing folder might be my favorite of the year — the stitched fabric-square design is full of cozy possibilities. I embossed colorful panels, trimmed them into squares, and pieced them together onto gold backgrounds. The result feels like sending a handmade quilt in card form, paired with sentiments like This Is Me Thanking You and Sending Autumn Cheer.
Each of these cards tells its own story — cozy, textured, and full of seasonal charm. That’s what I love most about the Spellbinders Clubs: every month is an invitation to explore new ideas, try new techniques, and stretch creativity in ways I hadn’t expected. September’s kits made me slow down, notice the details, and enjoy the process as much as the finished results. If you’re like me, you’ll find that these designs not only spark inspiration, but also remind you why you fell in love with paper crafting in the first place.
