Hello everyone, and welcome to my happy place.
On August 13th I went to Syracuse, NY where Altenew was hosting their annual Meet & Greet event. This was such a fun event and I am looking forward to visiting Altenew again next year.
This was a day filled with everything I like and enjoy doing: crafting and having a good time all day! I finally got to meet, not just the phenomenal owners of Altenew, but some of the very well known designers as well: Amy Hill and Bridget Casey.
Since it was my very first time in Syracuse, I decided to take a little stroll around town the day after my arrival. Since I was in NY, I simply had to have a good NY bagel. So I did my homework and the locals recommend a very cool cafe that only makes bagels. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of it, but if you are interested, I could find out… They had a lot of different bagels on their menu and they all looked really good; but I simply had to have a sesame bagel with lox and cream cheese. It was absolutely delicious, but, I have to admit that my Cali is not falling behind! 😉
After a quick brunch I joined the crew. I arrived a little bit before the scheduled time, and everyone was already there, and I simply joined the fun! It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to finally meet them in person. It felt like I’ve known them forever… well, I kinda of do… 😊
We crafted, and laugh, and talked, and shared tips and ideas. One thing that I am so happy to say is that we tested and play with some brand new products that are going to be released either at the end of the year or at the beginning of next. I do have to admit that felt awesome!
Altenew’s generosity is beyond imaginable. They made sure that nobody left empty handed and most importantly, that we were all fed! There was plenty of food and refreshments and at the end, a super delicious cake.
But, wait, there is more…
At the end, Altenew team took us, the educators, to their headquarters and warehouse. WOW! Now, that was an amazing surprise! They gave us a tour of their new offices and the new, huge, warehouse. I was in Altenew heaven!
I would like to take this opportunity to personally and publicly give the biggest THANK YOU to Altenew for their kindness, generosity and hospitality. I enjoyed every second of it and Altenew will always have a special place in my heart.
