Hello everyone and welcome to the first Altenew Educators Blog Post for 2022!
First, let me wish you all a Happy New Year. I hope you have a lot of success and happiness and most of all health in the new year!

The star of my show today is Altenew Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray. I simply cannot get enough of this spray. I used it in a different project but never with stencils and I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did because this turned out way more beautiful and striking than I expected.

For the slimline card I used Mega Bloom Stencil and Mix & Match Mariposa Die Set. To better match the look of my striking flower, I used vellum for the butterflies and the “Hi”. For my square card, a little more masculine card, I used Altenew Beveled Square Stencil and just added some square embellishments and added sentiment strips.

One tip I have to give you if you decide to use this phenomenal spray with your stencils, is to please make sure your stencil is flushed with the paper for better coverage. If you pay close attention, you will see the difference between the square and the slimline card. I did not use a stencil spray when I was creating the square card and as a result my image did not come as crisp. But I still like how it turned out.

Simple, easy and quick and yet so impactful and different!
This has always been my motto when creating cards and I think that is is going to be my resolution for this year!

Oh, I can relate!
I absolute love this spray and can’t get enough of it. I tried making my own with Perfect Pearls a long time ago, but it just isn’t the same. This spray is a game changer.
Sara Fail
Wow. I really appreciate the tip about the stencil spray, too.
lanabylanadesign
My pleasure Sara!
It really makes a difference. I forgot to mention that I used “Stick & Stay” by Crafter’s Companion, and even though it says “permanent adhesive”on the bottle, it did not ruin my paper and I had no issues. I hope you find this useful and please share your creations if you use this technique.
