Yahoo! We made it to the very last lesson in Level 2! I am so beyond exited and I am so happy to have the ability to share that with my audience! But, this is not over! There will be a final challenge after this, which I will have to prepare for and I honesty have no idea what the challenge is, and I am thrilled to find out!
Today’s lesson is held by Svitlana Shayevich and her work is absolutely stunning! She created this fabulous card below and I absolutely fell in love with it! The colors are so beautiful and vibrant and this card would most definitely make anyone’s day! She used watercolors to create this card, but I had something else in mind.
I first layered my first image using a MISTI stamp platform. I then used coordinating dies to cut masks out of masking paper and put it over my stamped image. I then repeated the process of stamp layering and when that was done, I also covered it with a die cut piece of masking paper. I then applied distress oxide ink all over my panel and fill in the gaps using a B14 Copic Marker. I then embellished it with some jewels and added a sentiment strip for more interest, and glued everything onto the card base. And the card was done!
I love the colors of the card! I just love this color combination and one thing is for sure: I learned so much about colors in this course and it totally helped me break out the shell I was in. When I look at this card there were some things that I would do differenty the next time around, but overall, I am happy how this card turned out in the end.
So, here we are at the end of this course and it came rather quickly. If you have any comments and/or suggestions please let me know in the comment section down below.
Thank you for visiting me today and I will see you very soon with a new post!
